Our Corporate Social Responsibility

So what makes us one of the best contractor accountant and umbrella companies out there? Amongst many other reasons, here at Orange Genie Group, we have a responsibility to make a contribution to our local community and to the environment for the benefit of future generations.

We split this responsibility into three distinct areas:

Charitable activities 

Here at Orange Genie Group, our people are encouraged to take an active role in charitable work and to participate fully in the fund raising we undertake. Over the last few years we have supported a number of good causes by bike riding, running, walking, triathlons, dragon boat racing, fancy dress, dress-down days, baking competitions, quizzes and personal donations.

Environmental activities

We are committed to the care of the environment and we comply with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and all other legal requirements. It is our priority to encourage our our customers, suppliers and all business associates to do the same. Not only is this sound commercial sense fo all; it is also a matter of delivering our duty of care towards future generations.

We apply the principles of continuous improvement in respect of air, water, noise and light pollution from our premises and reduce any impacts from our operations on the environment and local community. We minimise energy and water usage in our building and as far as possible purchase products and services that do the least damage to the environment and encourage others to do the same. We minimise our waste and then re-use or recycle as much as possible.

Looking after our people

The culture at Orange Genie is one in which we take much pride. A huge effort goes into making sure employees are happy with their working lifestyles. Our MD conducts monthly meetings with all employees and their views and feedback are taken into consideration in shaping the decisions we take. Every member of the senior management team are available and visible, information flows and team spirit are second to none.

We take great care in recruiting the right people, rigorously training and supporting them. We support their training and development and have been rewarded by high levels of commitment and are incredibly proud of our staff retention rates. 

We are recognised by Investors in People as having best practice and have been presented with their Health and Wellbeing Award.
