It's natural that your contractors will want to take home as much money as possible, particularly if their income has recently taken a hit. This is why we saw so many tax avoidance schemes springing up in the wake of the Public-Sector IR35 reform in 2017, hoping to take advantage of desperate contractors, who were themselves willing to listen to anyone who offered a solution.
