CIS Umbrella

With CIS Umbrella you will be employed by Orange Genie and we’ll calculate tax and NI on a PAYE basis, just like any other employer. This option is best if you:

  • Want the security of full time employment
  • Prefer to keep administration to a minimum
  • Full employment rights including sick pay, holiday pay, maternity/paternity pay and workplace pension
  • Quick and easy set-up: within 20 minutes
  • We make payments every day so you won’t have to wait
  • Receive SMS alerts and track payments on our online portal
  • No leaving or joining fees

CIS Self Employment

You will be self employed and tax will be deducted at a flat rate when you’re paid. You’ll complete a tax return at the end of the tax year to claim any refund you might be due. It’s the best option if you:

  • Are happy with a little more administration
  • Can evidence that you’re genuinely self employed
  • We’ll support you through CIS verification and registration and we’ll make sure you’re fully compliant
  • Accurate invoices raised by Orange Genie for time worked
  • £5m Public Liability insurance provided so there’s no need to arrange your own cover
  • Discounted Year End self-assessment
