Umbrella company contractors 'to work in three careers'
Posted by Daniel Frost
Those with umbrella companies may have to go through up to three career routes over their working lives as their length in the job scene increases.
Rachel Krys, campaign director for the Employers Forum on Age, believed that people will need to adopt this idea as they work past their retirement age.
She also noted to company umbrella contractors that employers can expect to see workers approaching them for work when in their fifties.
These contractors will probably not want to wind down but continue in another career which could last up to 20 years, Ms Krys acknowledged.
She explained: "Employers need to change their mindset, individuals need to change their mindset and we just need to really look at the way we are all employing people."
Her comments follow a recent study by LV=, which found that twice as many women are expecting to retire at a later date than men, with 2.7 million over 50s believing they cannot afford to finish work.
