Umbrella company contractors 'can use client's email signature'

Contractors with umbrella companies have been given some advice about using email signatures when with a client so that it does not affect IR35 claims.
Seb Marley, a freelancer services manager at Qdos Consulting Ltd, has given the advice to Contractor UK in response to a query from a contractor about how best to deal with a business' demand to include their email signature.
The expert noted that wherever possible, it is best for a company umbrella contractor to use their own signature.
However, many clients demand that their signature is used instead, with Mr Marley pointing out that "this certainly doesn't help your IR35 position".
Contractors do not need to panic though, as the expert assured that this is hardly ever a pivotal thing in an IR35 enquiry, with more important factors likely to overshadow this issue.
Recently, Mr Marley gave Contractor UK some tips about an email list, noting that those with umbrella companies should not worry about an IR35 enquiry if opting into one of these.
