Signs are positive for contractors

Category: Contractor Industry News

Contractors using umbrella companies and looking for work in the housing industry should be bolstered by the increased activity which is being seen at the moment, according to an expert.

Matthew McEachran, retail analyst at Singer Capital Markets, said that at present more people are beginning to put money in the market, which is good news for everyone working in the sector.

"The property market is finally moving in the right direction as far as rents and lease incentives. Obviously there are a lot of agencies out there in the market now, and landlords are quite desperate to fill space," he stated.

Mr McEachran added that if the incentives in the recent Budget are going to work out, then the next year could be a great time for small businesses just getting their foot on the ladder.

Wilkins Kennedy recently stated that the number of new companies has started to rise again following two years of decline caused by the banking crisis.
