The Recruitment and Employment Confederation's (REC's) Academy for Business has welcomed the chancellor's commitment to helping businesses compete but highlighted the need for ongoing guidance and support.Efforts must be continued to help contractor umbrella companies and other firms as long as the difficult economic climate continues, it said.
"Yesterday's announcement is especially significant for the recruitment industry where cashflow is a constant concern and where the inability to access finance is still a great challenge facing many recruiters," commented Sam Strange, director of business support for the REC Academy for Business.
It is vital that banks lend to firms to encourage entrepreneurship and develop high-level jobs in growth sectors, she continued.
Further guidance and mentoring will be needed as recruiters are constantly looking to grow and develop, Ms Strange added.
