Life insurance 'could aid company umbrella contractors'
Posted by John Crawley
Life insurance does not only help pay mortgages in the event of death, but also covers school and university fees, as well as supporting a business.
Annie Shaw, editor of CashQuestions, was giving the advice after a recent study by Confused.com found that only four in ten adults have opted for life insurance.
She agreed that not everyone needs life insurance, but those who have someone dependant on them should consider this option.
This is because in the result of death, dependants could struggle to make ends meet when trying to sort out such things as paying a mortgage or cover for fees when attending an educational institution after the loss in financial contribution from the deceased.
Ms Shaw explained: "They are not a necessity if you have no dependants, but most people have someone they need to protect or someone they want to benefit if the worst happens."
