IT contractors 'should be primed in the skills of cloud computing'

IT contractors have been advised to keep on top of the current trends coming into the industry, as they could help them acquire top positions.
Richard Nott, website director at CWJobs.co.uk, believes that cloud computing is one of the main talking points in the ICT workplace right now.
He noted that the website he is part of recently conducted a survey which found that more than 60 per cent of those in IT professions believed that this technology will create more opportunities as it continues its rise.
Therefore, Mr Nott said that those with umbrella companies based around IT skills need to keep themselves primed for when an opening occurs.
Speaking at the 360°IT event at Earls Court, he explained: "People need to keep abreast of developments in IT. It's an ever-evolving and ever-changing market and the pace of change is always very quick in IT."
A recent survey carried out by IBM also found that those with umbrella companies expect mobile software application development to become a main factor in the industry.
