IT contractors 'optimistic about future'

IT contractors with an umbrella company believe that their pay rates have fared batter than they had expected them to.
Others have noted that, though their daily or weekly rates may have dropped, it has not been as much of a dip as they first feared, Contractors UK has reported.
In fact, 63 per cent of IT contractors believed that they will see a rise in earnings in the next 12 months, a recent poll by the firm Giant found.
This is up from the same second quarter period of 2009, in which only 58 per cent of IT contractors believed their pay package would increase.
The findings may point towards more faith been shown by contractors, especially those with an umbrella company, the website stated.
Only recently, Contract Eye said that it believed that contractors could be financially better off in the IT industry, when compared to those who opt for a permanent job route within it.
