IT contractors benefit from 'recovery in gaming industry'
Category: Contractor Industry News
Posted by John CrawleyThe UK gaming industry is believed to be going through an "element of recovery", which should be good news for IT contractors with an umbrella company.
Phil Elliott, publisher and managing editor at GamesIndustry.biz, has made the claim, believing that this industry is showing better signs in the economy than previously.
He believes that IT contractors are currently working in an expensive business where a product has to sell big in order to make sure that the company can break even.
However, Mr Elliott also believes that there are still enough IT contractors in the industry to make sure that this sector of the industry will continue to be strong.
He said: "There is still a lot of talent here and there are some universities working closely with developers to provide good talent and there is no reason to think that this will not continue."
These comments follow on from the news recently that the trade association TIGA is broadening its membership to IT contractors, great news when looking for which positions to apply for next.
