Female company umbrella contractors 'on top of finances'
Posted by Sarah Putt
While the UK's women are increasingly working to make ends meet in terms of household finance, men are taking a step back, company umbrella contractors have been told.
This came from Nicola Scowen, director of Women in Debt, who was reacting to a recent report released by the Institute of Financial Planning.
It unveiled that 67 per cent of females were looking to take measures to save cash. This is compared to just 60 per cent of men acting in the same way.
This has all come about as the influence of women has increased in the workplace, according to Ms Scowen, who told contractors with umbrella companies that females now have more financial freedom than in past decades.
She added: "Women now simply take more responsibility for not only the day-to-day budgeting, but also keeping a roof over the family’s heads and meeting all the day to day bills."
