Educational reforms could be ideal for contractors

Category: Contractor Industry News

Labour's reforms of the UK's education system in the late 90s were great news for contractors using umbrella companies, according to one news provider which stated that it gave schools and companies the chance to work together.

The BBC reported that the party revolutionised the UK's attitude towards education building projects and helped schools to work alongside contractors in order to design the educational institution of the future.

"Schools would come up with a vision of what they wanted to offer and how they would provide it, so decision making on the redevelopments was devolved to the front-line," it reported.

The news provider added that once the plans had been drawn a contractor would be found and then work would begin to make the vision a reality.

Brookson.co.uk recently spoke to Gary Cousins, a solicitor at Cousins Business Law, about the importance of contractors keeping records of balance sheets, which is something that can be dealt with by umbrella companies.ADNFCR-2808-ID-19899177-ADNFCR
