Contractors 'could benefit from local business advice day'

Category: Contractor Industry News

A special Local Business Advice Open Day is being run in the Sefton area on July 22nd and could offer valuable help for contractors in the area.

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) will be running the sessions with help from partner organisations including Business Link, ACAS and the Health and Safety Executive.

Among the advice on offer will be information on the resources available to help companies save time, tips on employing staff for the first time and information on getting business opportunities.

Roger Lovell, business liaison team manager, claimed that many people feel intimidated when faced with the task of understanding tax.

He said: "HMRC runs a number of schemes to make tax as hassle free as possible ... and our attitude has always been to assist businesses in short term difficulty so that we can help keep viable businesses afloat."
