Company umbrella contractors 'should plan Xmas spending'

Contractors with umbrella companies who are about to begin their Christmas shopping have been told to first think up a budget plan.
Ed Bowsher, head of consumer finance at lovemoney.com, believed that people can benefit from an enjoyable festive period without the worry if they were to note down only the essential goods which are needed.
This idea can be used when it comes to planning out the food for a perfect Christmas Day dinner and supper, as there is time for umbrella company contractors to shop around to guarantee the best deals.
Furthermore, Mr Bowsher acknowledged that the best personal loan deals should also be sought out, as this could lower the cost of Xmas considerably.
He explained: "The best loans on offer at the moment charge 7.5 per cent. So, assuming you have a good credit record, it’s foolish to pay anymore than that."
The advice follows on from a recent study carried out by money.co.uk, which found that 40 per cent of households will be cutting back on their spending over Christmas because of caution surrounding cuts in the economy.
