Company umbrella contractor demand 'increasing in many UK industries'
Posted by John Crawley
Those working with umbrella companies have been told how demand for contractors is increasing all across the board in the UK.
March 2011's ContractorCalculator Market Report acknowledged that the online demand for IT workers rose by 34 per cent over 2010.
ContractorCalculator reported that this makes it the highest growing sector across all parts of the industry which are monitored by the Monster Employment Index.
Isabelle Ratinaud, spokesperson for Monster UK and Ireland, commented: "A healthy recruitment market is an indicator of a healthy economy, so it's critical that candidates make the most of the opportunities that are out there."
This month's market analysis also reports that contractor recruitment is set to increase, according to predictions by the CIPD/KPMG Labour Market Outlook for Winter 2010/11.
In further good news for company umbrella contractors, the February Reed Job Index experienced a 16 per cent rise over the previous month's figures, as more employment positions opened up in the UK.
