Body language can be a winner for contractors
Category: Contractor Industry News
Contractors using umbrella companies looking to secure all-important deals need to ensure that they use the right body language when meeting clients or attending interviews, according to one expert.Body language expert Drew McAdam told STV.tv that getting a handshake, head position and eye contact correct can make all the difference when trying to impress someone.
"Often, interviewers themselves will tell you, it’s not what somebody said it but how they said it that’s important. The answers could be good enough and work, but it’s how they are putting themselves across that’s what’s for sale, not what they’ve said," he stated.
The expert added that body language can help to control a situation and give a contractor the upperhand in exchanges.
In other news, the Financial Post recently reported on the body language mistakes that female politicians make, which included smiling too much.
