IT services sector seeing growth within outsourced IT support market

IT support company seeing growth in troubled times.
Contract IT support company IT Genie based in Crawley described times as 'tough but showing signs of regained confidence'. Gino Choucair managing director of the IT support company outlined how new contracts were still on the rise within the south east - the operating area of the UK firm which the IT support team covers.
'Whilst new contracts are becoming scarcer we are still gaining coverage by working hard for our clients', states Mr Choucair. ‘New IT support business is being gained by aggressive pricing and consistently high quality service and we are using IT contractors when necessary to fill any gaps in sickness and holiday’.
He went on to say ‘Businesses are outsourcing more of their IT support requirements as it becomes more critical to keep costs down and in-house permanent IT staff may not always be the most economical solution for a company who’s main IT requirements could be monitored remotely. Our one hour guaranteed on-site service provides the kind of support which institutions expect to find through staffed solutions, so we’re seeing growth here due to financial cutbacks’.
When asked about market conditions relating to IT hardware and software sales, Mr. Choucair remained confident saying ‘The market for hardware and software sales remains as buoyant as to be expected in these times. We are seeing more considered choices [made] by the SME’s we work with and the purchasing of new equipment has become a more refined process. We are creating more bespoke IT solutions for more savvy business owners and as the market is flooded with low cost hardware we can source some incredible solutions for business during these economically tough times.’
We believe this is all positive news for the IT sectors including support and sales, as well as IT contract staff who may be looking for service orientated temporary contract employment.
