Contract engineers enjoy job openings despite market
Date: March 27, 2009
Britain has long had a shortage of trained engineering staff despite which a revitalised nuclear fusion project in Culham is hoping to employ around 140 new contractors during 2009.
The nuclear fusion project hopes to forge ahead with experiments and developments into generating limitless power with fusion technology which has long been heralded as being able to produce mythical proportions of energy to the planet.
Contract engineering staff will fill blue collar positions such as electricians, technicians, fitters and some PHD staff. With a shortage of engineering contractors recruiters are aiming to poach engineering contractors from other industries in a bid to recruit some of the most highly qualified staff available.
